From Brian Robinson, Superintendent, Fort Thomas Independent Schools--
To Our Fort Thomas Community,
This afternoon, Governor Andy Beshear issued an Executive Order requiring all PK-12th grade teachers, staff, students, and visitors wear a face covering indoors while at school. Last Friday, August 6th, we released our procedures and protocol for the first day of school on August 18th. While the FTIS plan allowed for some flexibility for students and personnel eligible to vaccinate, we will now need to revise some of the procedures to comply with the governor's mandate. In the meantime, effective immediately, please note that all students, staff, and visitors in Fort Thomas Independent Schools must wear a face covering while indoors.
Additional details from FTIS will be released tomorrow afternoon and the "Healthy at School" resources found on our District webpage (Link: Healthy at School Website) will be updated as appropriate to comply with the new orders. We look forward to a great 2021-22 school year and your continued partnership through this current national spike.
